Green Juice Recipes for Health, Vitality & Detox

Green Juice Variations

Okay, so now that you know a few of the benefits of a healthy green lifestyle, let’s dive into the recipes. But first, the most important thing to remember:

There are as many ways to make green juice, so innovate and find your favorites.

If you cook, then you know there are virtually infinite combinations you can use for many different foods. Same thing with green juice. If at first you don’t like it, keep experimenting until you find your favorite combinations.

How wonderful to indulge in a delicious health boosting organic green smoothie. Guilt free.

Don’t get hung up on exact quantities or specific ingredients. We often just use whatever is on hand, but I’ve been juicing for years, so I can handle even the strongest green juices, however, for my family, it needs to be more palatable.

Start juicing with your favorite vegetables.

If you don’t love kale, then use more spinach and chard. Throw in a leaf or two of the things you like least and use more of your favorites. Green apples are a great addition to add a touch of sweetness and smoothness to the drink.

Best Juicers

If you can afford one, the best juicer to use is one which utilizes a low-speed, cold-pressed masticating juicer, which maximizes enzymes and phytonutrients in the finished product.

Green Juice Recipes

Most of these green juice recipes are for a single serving, so adjust accordingly. We typically make an entire Vitamix full, which fills up 3 large shaker bottles or 4 pint sized ones blender bottles.

Here’s our are some favorites.

Fast Fix Detox Green Juice

Servings: 1

  • 1 handful of organic spinach leaves
  • 1 stalk of organic celery
  • 1 small organic cucumber
  • 1 bunch of organic parsley
  • 8 oz 100% coconut water (or water)*
  • Optional: add squirt of 100% pure lemon or lime juice.

*Healthy alternatives for coconut water or water include organic herbal teas or green teas.

Combine everything in your juicer, process and enjoy! The parsley works as a diuretic, so remember to drink plenty of water—something which you should be doing anyway while on a cleanse.

However, the diuretic properties also help eliminate bloat, and the vitamins and nutrients of this refreshing delight will also help promote skin health, alkalize the body, and help reduce cancer-causing oxidation in the body.

Spicy Green Juice

Servings: 1

  • 1 organic poblano pepper
  • 1 (or to taste) organic jalapeno, serrano, or other hot pepper of your choice
  • 1 organic cucumber
  • 1 large handful of organic kale
  • 1 pear
  • 1 tart green apple
  • 8 oz 100% coconut water (or water)*
  • Optional: add squirt of 100% pure lemon or lime juice.

*Healthy alternatives for coconut water or water include organic herbal teas or green teas.

Combine everything, juice, and enjoy! For those who can take the heat, this concoction offers a metabolism-boosting burst of capsaicin, as well as the alkalizing goodness of green vegetables.

We encourage keeping your glycemic index low by not adding sweeteners or fruits with high sugar content, however, even the tart green apples plus the coconut water add just enough natural, low glycemic sweetness to make a huge difference in the the taste.

The Ultimate Green Detox Smoothie

Servings: 2

  • 1 small handful of organic kale leaves
  • 1 small handful of organic spinach leaves
  • The juice of 1 organic lemon
  • Fresh ginger to taste (usually about a 1/2-inch chunk)
  • 1 small organic cucumber
  • 1 small bunch of organic parsley
  • 1 organic pear
  • 2 tsp spirulina or wheatgrass powder
  • A sprig of mint leaves to taste
  • 8-12 oz 100% coconut water (or water)*
  • Optional: add squirt of 100% pure lemon or lime juice.

*Healthy alternatives for coconut water or water include organic herbal teas or green teas.

Juice everything and combine it with spring water to dilute to taste. For additional minerals, PH balance and a light, refreshing sweetness, substitute coconut water for spring water.

The spirulina or wheatgrass also adds a powerful antioxidant and alkalizing boost, and is a potent source of many key vitamins and minerals.

Green Juice: Spinach Celery Bell with Ginger, Flax and Chia

This is one of our go-to green juice recipes.

Servings: 2


  • 3 cups Spinach
  • 4 stalks Celery
  • 1 medium green Apple
  • 1 large Green Bell Pepper (or two small)
  • 1 inch Ginger (or sub with two teabags soaked in 1/2c boiling water)
  • 1 TBS each of: Flax seed, Chia seed, Lime Juice, Lemon Juice
  • 3 cups 100% Coconut Water (approx)
