Outdoor Fitness to Go!
We love outdoor workouts!
Outdoor fitness handles 3 health essentials at one time:
- Fresh air
Inhaling deep gulps of fresh air, is an exhilarating addition to any workout.
Do these in the early mornings after the night has cleansed the air and it’s even better!
Sunrise workouts are awesome, and there’s something about being up early and greeting the sun that’s especially energizing.
Of course, if you can’t —or don’t want to—workout in the mornings, next best thing is still outdoors whenever you can.
You get: 6, 30-minute, 2-circuit workouts that include strength and cardio training, plus tips and information.
These workouts are “intermediate” in intensity, however, can easily be adjusted to your current fitness level. Decrease intensity, repetitions and weights and you have a beginners workout. Increase intensity, repetitions and weights and you’ll have an advanced workout.
What Type of Exercises Can I Expect?
The workouts featured here are “circuit training” style, which is a system of exercising that maximizes fat-burning and cardiovascular training by keeping the heart rate and breathing up throughout the workout. Circuits are designed for maximum results in the least amount of time by moving from one exercise to the next with little rest in between. When you finish one complete round of the circuit, you begin again at the first exercise, until the specified time is up; in this case 15 minutes per circuit.
Short on time? Split these up and do 15 minutes one day, 15 minutes the next day to help get—and stay— fit, even when you don’t have time.
What Equipment Will I Need?
- A watch or timer, (we use our phone timer)
- Dumbbells–1 heavy set & 1 light set
- Jump rope (Optional – If no rope, then simulate jumping rope)
